Representing Peru, South America’s third largest country, the team competed against more than 3,000 students from 200 universities and colleges from the United States, Canada, Europe and Japan.  Previous delegations from Rider have been cited for numerous awards, including the top honor of being named “Outstanding Delegation” four times, “Distinguished Delegation” three times, and “Honorable Mention” 10 times.

“It is gratifying to know that our team achieved this amazing dual accomplishment,” said Dr. Franz, professor of political science and advisor of Rider’s Model United Nations Team.  “This is the first time that Rider has been recognized with two awards at a competition.  It was a 100 percent team effort.”
