    At a time when the United Nations is looked upon to deal with problems of peace, security,
humanitarian relief, and other activities around the world, the 32nd Rider NMUN Team 
invites you to reaffirm your hope for a more peaceful world by coming to our annual 
United  Nations Flag Raising ceremony on UN Day, Friday, Oct. 23, 1998.

the 1999 Rider National Model United Nations Team
and of the 31st Anniversary of the N.M.U.N. Program at Rider

Dr. Chau T. Phan, Faculty Adviser, National Model United Nations Team: Opening Remarks.
Dr. Phyllis M. Frakt, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost: Greetings on behalf of the University and reading of President Luedeke's Proclamation of 1998 United Nations Day at Rider University.
Raising of the United Nations flag and reading in unison of the Preamble of the United Nations Charter in English (and in Spanish if there are Spanish-speaking people in attendance).
