I am a first semester freshman at Rider University, with a major in
biology in a premedical program. I am personally interested in politics,
medicine, environmental science, wrestling (collegiate), and music.
I am interested in Model United Nations because of my passion for public
speech, interest in international affairs, and an innate duty to be conscious
of and to understand the changes in world around us. My love for
public speech and my exposure to heavily debated topics was first provided
through the Junior State of America, a high school debate organization.
It was further developed while working with candidates on a grassroots
level in my home in Long Island. I hope that the Model United Nations will
help me develop the skills that are needed to become a wise and prominent
leader in our global community. |
