 I am a first
semester Sophomore at Rider University, with a major in Political Science.
My major interests include politics, law, sports (particularly baseball),
cars, and the news. A major reason why I became interested in Model
United Nations is my interest in global politics. Politics is by
far the major interest that I have had for several years now, and this
will be a great opportunity to explore the poltical process and agendas
of different (and contrasting) foreign nations. Another major reason
is the changing international scenes. As the worlds political situations
change, one must be knowledgeable of the various new nations involved in
international politics. I feel that Model UN will be a tremendous
opportunity to develop my knowledge of the new world situations. Furthermore,
I am confident that membership on the team will enhance my interpersonal
and public speaking skills, both which are critical if I want to be a valuable
member of Model United Nations. |
